February 6, 2008--NIES Engineering Inc. announces the opening of a new civil engineering office in downtown Michigan City, Indiana. The office, located at 720 Franklin Street, will be managed by Howard Jones. The site was selected in order to provide a higher level of service to existing clients located in La Porte County, Ind. and New Buffalo, Mich. The location will also serve as a base office for further expansion efforts of the company. Howard Jones, a principal at the firm sees great potential with the new location, "I believe this location will allow our company to better serve our existing clients in Michiana, as well as helping us deliver our water, wastewater, surveying and civil engineering services to a wider area."

Currently employing 17 engineers and technicians, NIES Engineering provides civil engineering consulting services to municipal and private customers in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan with its main office in Hammond, Ind.
